Candles and candle holders

Posted by damonstenhouse on October 17, 2007

I have been thinking about candles today,
I would need a relatively flame proof, foldable material
base would be plaster of sand block.
The purpose would be to project or diffuse the light,
support the candle and possibly have a scent which is released when warm.
Further thought could give the device more life once the candle burns out.
maybe it is not for a singe candle but a whole packet??

The next step would be to do some modeling.

candles – possible packaging oppotunity

Posted by damonstenhouse on October 16, 2007

Candles are a timeless tradition, the packaging could enhance the use of the candle by acting as a holder and diffusing the light in desired way.

Can the box of vegitables or flowers keep the contents cool to survive the hot trip in the car home??  and then be reused for cooling other products?

Six Pack of Wine

Posted by damonstenhouse on October 15, 2007

Further thought on the wine six pack leads me to think that the package that hold the glasses together could also play a part – possible as a small table for grass or sand, and maybe come with some nuts.

Plants in plastic container??!!?  if the container was biodegradable the plant could be put straight into the soil. It could also contain nutrients.

Which do you buy the product for the contents or the package,

Also collector cards with bubble gum are a great example of this.

Ideas from a couple of days brainstorming…

Posted by damonstenhouse on October 15, 2007

natural packaging:

  • Coconut shell
  • bamboo
  • gordes

Children find a use for anything that thay can get their hands on,

potential for toys:

  • pieces of fabric which together make
  • box drum
  • collectible pendents which can be strung together to make decoration or whirled around to make a noise – this could be extremely catchy in the school yard.
  • nappy packaging made into a mobile

Further investigation into this could involve observing children finding use and/or doing trick with ‘stuff.’

Toilet rolls and the toilet brush have a similar form, could the toilet roll become a toilet brush after the paper is all used? Once only use with inbuilt disinfectant.

Packaging could have a genuine artistic print which could be put up on the wall as people put up well designed flyers to parties. Possibly suited to clothing. Also a packaging which provides components for a customisable work of art.

Pie or other messy food with a package which can be used as a serviette.
Plastic wrap is water proof, this could be usefull to take the product or another under water??
